Academy achieves Microsoft School status

We are pleased to announce that Newcastle Academy and Clayton Hall Academy have both been identified as Microsoft Schools. Our Head of IT John Dooley and his team have been working to improve our IT infrastructure and the ways in which we communicate and use technology throughout the Academies. Because we have demonstrated a commitment to embracing technology to transform education and improve learning outcomes for students, we have been accepted onto the Microsoft Showcase School program. The Principals and Senior Leadership teams are motivated to provide enhanced opportunities which will foster innovative teaching and learning practices and personalized learning.

We are now part of a community of approximately 850 global education leaders, the 2016-17 list of schools in the program is here.

Both schools will now access amazing partner benefits, and be connected within a community of shared professional practice. Importantly we can share examples of Microsoft solutions being used in the classrooms to accomplish inspiring outcomes through hosting tours and events.
