Celebrating Former Students’ Success at NuLC

At the recent Newcastle College celebration awards for 2017, two former Newcastle Academy students were recognised for their achievements:-

Alexander Broad, Student Xtra of the Year 2017 (studying A Levels in English Language & Literature, French and Sociology)

Alex, who was real character whilst attending Newcastle Academy and very well liked for his enthusiasm, has continued to contribute over and above the bear minimum whilst at NuLC.  Alex received the award for outstanding service as a College Xtra, supporting extra-curricular events; welcoming visitors and potential students, helping and supporting new Xtras. He is always incredibly positive, sociable, thoughtful and well respected by both staff and students. Well done Alex.

Daniel Heath, The Principal’s Award (studying A Levels in Computing, Maths and Further Maths)

Daniel is a dedicated, talented and intelligent mathematician and has achieved exceptional results. He has always worked to the best of his ability and produced more than the minimum expected, overcoming any challenges. He has been an active member of the College, taking part and volunteering at several events, and is always positive. Daniel also recently returned to Newcastle Academy to talk with our current Year 10 students about College life. Thank you Daniel.

We are so proud of these two, who have shown commitment and enthusiasm to their further studies and taken part in College life wholeheartedly. We wish them, and all other former students of Newcastle Academy, all the best in their future careers.

We are always pleased to hear from our former students, wherever their paths have taken them, and recommend they join our Alumni community here: https://networks.futurefirst.org.uk/register
