Wild Rumpus at The Whiligig, Scholar Green.

Yesterday, 9 year 11 Performing Arts students visited, Scholar Green. Wild Rumpus are an Events Management company specialising in outdoor events.
The trip was a huge success!

The Talent Development Manager, Katie, who led and organised our visit, spoke about how engaged and enthusiastic our students were! The students were a real credit to the Academy.

We are thrilled with how successful yesterday’s trip was and wanted to share this success with you all. Students have left with knowledge about volunteering; its value, how to, where and why. Students now also have a wider understanding of how events, art and performing arts combine, as well as understanding the work of freelancers and what this means and entails. Students also met a range of professionals including their Site Manager, Visual Artists, a female Welder, a Neon Sign Maker, Public Relations Officer, the company Director and so on.

It was also the first time that many have experienced a ‘festival’ type environment complete with compost toilets… Well done all. Together we make THE difference! 👍
