RE
Religious Education at Newcastle Academy encourages students to think critically about a wide variety of religious, ethical and philosophical questions.
RE plays a role in developing students into caring, confident and tolerant adults. It gives students the opportunity to formulate their own set of values and beliefs about the world in which we live. RE requires students to develop an enquiring and critical mind in response to the world around them and the many complex issues they will face as members of society in Britain.
RE is taught once per fortnight throughout KS3 and topics covered include
Year 7 –

Celebrations and Festivals
